FALL 2020 Newsletter

Hello everyone!  Hope everyone is enjoying what’s left of the summer.  I apologize for this letter being late.  Our end of year work party/fish fry has already come and gone (August 31st) by the time everyone gets this.

It’s been a crazy year with Covid-19 and the club had to cancel our first shoot in March and in April we postponed Bob’s Bonus Bonanza.  May league got off to a slow start and our first shoot ended up being in mid-May.  In June, we had Bob’s Bonus instead of our Annual Big Game Shoot.  Needless to say, it was challenging but both shoots were successful.  I would like to thank everyone who helped and also to those who came out and participated.  We had a lot of fun!

In June, we had our Annual Election with a few changes.  I was elected as our new President, Scott Inda is our new Vice President and Austin Good is a new Trustee. Congratulations to all of you! I would like to thank our past President, Kevin Harmsen for all his hard work a dedication this past year and his continued support to our club.

The end of July was the end of our summer 3D league. There were a lot of great shooters this year and some that shot their personal best.  Thanks to those who participated and helped set the course every week. The final results are posted at the clubhouse and on the website.  First Place went to Nock Busters (Chris and Jared Kieffer), second place Team Rage (Troy and Chris Cleland) and third went to Team I Need A Beer (Austin Good and Noah Lawson).  Congratulations and thanks to all participants!

The clubhouse will be open Monday nights through September. Hope everyone has success this fall on their hunting adventures.

Thanks Everyone!

Chris Kieffer

A Message to Current & Past Members

It’s that time of year again. It’s time to kick off another season at Lost Arrow Archery Club. This is going to be a season like no other. There is a lot of uncertainty in the world that we are all coping with. We want to try and make this the best season we can.

We’ve already had to postpone our 3D Extreme and Bob’s Bonus Bonanza shoots. We haven’t rescheduled either shoot as of this time. We will be taking this up when the Safer At Home order is lifted. We will post any updates on our website, http://www.fdllostarrowarcheryclub.com and Facebook page, @fdllostarrowarchery.

We plan to keep the start of league the same (May 4th). We will not open the clubhouse until the order is lifted. Score cards will be available on the outside of the clubhouse. We ask that you respect other members and practice social distancing while at the club. We also ask that if you get to the club and there are more than 10 vehicles in the parking lot, you leave and come back at another time. The club will provide hand sanitizer and disinfectant throughout the course. You’ll have Monday thru Friday to turn in your score. Weekends will be for changing the course.

As always the club is looking for active members. We need people to sign up for lawn mowing, course maintenance and to come and help out at “ work parties” that we have before each shoot. We also need members willing to put their names in to be board members and bring fresh ideas to the club.

We are all facing uncertain times. Lost Arrow is committed to make this the best archery season possible. Hope to see you out on the course enjoying what Lost Arrow has to offer.

Thank You,

Kevin Harmsen

Club President
